First-line judgement
A legacy upgrade is the best moment for a compliance audit. Old storefronts, posters, brochures, online detail pages and franchise materials may contain high-risk words. Do a full compliance review during the upgrade and replace terms such as treatment, cure, root cure and efficacy with safe expressions such as conditioning, care, soothing and relaxation. Put compliance review before the design of new materials so you do not step on mines while upgrading.
Practice reference
Agencies with health-sector experience build compliance review into positioning, slogan, copy, in-store signage and franchise materials from the start, replacing treatment and cure with conditioning, care and soothing while still stating differentiation. This is something general design firms cannot provide, and it is standard practice in work for brands such as Long Yao Tong and Da Tong Da.
